LEVI'S THIRD BIRTHDAY -- A COOKIE MONSTER PARTY!

Levi's Third Birthday Party was a blast. Levi had a cookie monster theme and mom made him a great cookie monster shirt. God has been good to Levi over the past three years and we are so thankful for his funloving, freewheeling, unpredictable vagabond heart. We can't wait to see how God uses him!

Ethan's First Day of School

Ethan began Kindergarten on Wednesday! He did great and loves his new school so much! He's a natural learner. We're so proud of him.

South Africa

In June, Greg had the great privilege of traveling to South Africa as a the chaperone of a group of students immersing themselves in the South African culture for two weeks. We saw the best in people and some of the worst in the former Apartheid regime and all that went with that just 15 years ago. We saw amazing animals and met some amazing people living in the worst of conditions. God is faithful to the rich and the poor. When God said as you do the least of these you do to me .... I think we met some with the face of God. In the kingdom of heaven they are the great ones, and we had a great time meeting all these people. The pictures speak for themselves of the beauty of the land of the people.

LUCAS ADAM THOMPSON IS WELCOMED TO THE STORY OF GOD!

We proudly welcome Lucas Adam Thompson into the Story of God - that was going before he arrived and is continuing as we speak! How exciting. Lucas is named after a reference in the King James Version to the name in Philemon 1:24. His life verse is

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Joshua 1:9

How fitting it is that Lucas was born at the home of the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Carcon, Colorado. Lucas is doing well and was born at 0013 on 20 April, 2009. He weighed in at 7 lbs 10 oz with blonde hair and unknown eyes, although they look green so far to me. He is very content and is doing great. He's 20 inches long and he is the apple of all of our eyes. We will post video later since it takes longer to load that stuff. Hope you enjoy these photos of our Lucas and the entry gate at Fort Carson.
