A Beautiful Day at the Broadmoor and Seven Falls!

Here are some pictures from our travels yesterday. We went to the grounds of the Broadmoor Hotel and then on to Seven Falls. Both were beautiful and the weather was wonderful. The only problem was that Levi was miserable sick. There's one picture that shows his sad little face. But he was a trooper and today seems to be starting to feel better. As we left the Broadmoor we saw a deer in the middle of an intersection on the divider eating all the beautiful flowers. I don't think that is allowed you crazy deer!

Ethan wanted to climb all the steps at Seven Falls - literally hundreds. He did all of them with Dad and Mom without one single complaint. The views from the stairs were breathtaking! Upon climbing down the stairs he found his little chipmunk friend! or as he likes to call them, "Chickmunks". Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

AWANA CUBBIES AWARD NIGHT!

Ethan was absolutely thrilled to finish his first year of AWANAs. He memorized a verse a week every week since he started in September. He memorized 31 verses this AWANA club year! He had fun at the awards night but he was pretty nervous at first. He had his moments at first, simply because he'd never been a part of anything like this ever before. He had always watched but never been on the stage. He warmed up to it, thanks to a special airplane that was given to him by his good friends Kaden and Maddison Strickland. That eased his mind and he got into his groove. For more on that see the video! Ethan did a great job and had a lot of fun. He also enjoyed that his dad got to be Cubbie Bear and wear the suit. This means I was sweating like a stuffed sow so all the kids could get a picture with Cubbie Bear. My pores will never be the same. If I were them I would dry clean that suit for sure! When I took the Cubbie Head off my head looked like I had gotten out of the pool.

The best part was Levi. HE HATES mascots and the like, so he was not happy to see daddy don the Cubbie Suit. It was traumatizing and he did not want to talk to me after the evening. I got in the suit with him in the room to see if that would help, but as soon as I put the Cubbie Bear head on an ear piercing shrillness shrieked out of his little lungs and he had to leave the room with his mom.....very funny for us, very traumatic for Little Snicklepus.

E&L Dance Factory

This needs no explanation - it speaks for itself!

EASTER!

For us this is a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of Christ, and understanding the eternal and unbelievable implications of the truth of a risen Christ, Savior and Lord. We pray that this transforms your life as it continues to transform ours.

We have had a wonderful time celebrating a snow filled Easter weekend here in Colorado. Ethan and Levi were invited to an Easter egg hunt at a couple's house at our church. They had a fun time hunting and playing afterward. Then today, Sunday they had a great time at our Easter sunrise service at church and opening some special Easter gifts from mommy and daddy! Our gift from heaven is so much better!

Hope you all had a great Easter too and hope you enjoy the pictures from ours.

A Day at the Park

Today we had magnificent weather here! The funny part is the forecast is snow tonight with 2 to 4 inches. Ethan will help me shovel us out of the drive tomorrow morning. We all had fun going down the slides and running fast across the bridges. There is also an outdoor field hockey rink that we played on. Angie got a hat trick while I played goal and Levi played "king of the mountain" on an unmelted snow bank in one of the corners of the rink.

Last night we got to see the Air Force Academy Hockey
team play and as always we had a wonderful time. We
are looking forward to summer when the weather gets
warmer and we are able to do even more outdoor activities. See you all soon - we hope!
